Quad City Flutes Unlimited is a Quad Cities based non-profit organization of adult flute players who enjoy rehearsing and performing flute music. Membership is open to all adult flute players. Most members are flutists who wish to continue performing after high school or college graduation. Members make committed contributions through regular participation in rehearsals and performances. Quad City Flutes Unlimited

rehearses September through May, every year. Rehearsals are held twice each month during the season plus additional rehearsals as necessary. Approximately five performances are given each year. Regular Fall and Spring concerts are given each year plus various seasonal concerts (e.g., Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine Day concerts) are performed.

Quad City Flutes Unlimited was found in 1983 by Janet Stodd, a flute instructor at Augustana College and Saint Ambrose University. It started originally with 4 flutists. The first concert included 9 flutists, including Janet Stodd, Karin Anderson-Sweet, Ann Abplanalp, and Mary Tallitsch (pictured below: from left).
